Another Tablet Option…

The OpenTablet7 from OpenPeak has me thinking. What if my tablet also fills the role of a phone? I hadn’t really thought about this before but it interests me because I have terrible cell phone reception at home and I have been thinking about VoIP as an alternative. In addition to being free from the pointless software constraints built in to the Apple tablet, the OpenTablet7 has an attractive, sleek design. Besides the capability to serve as a phone, it also has all the other hardware features Apple does not: A USB port, Ethernetport and Bluetooth, in addition to WiFi.
As the name of the company and the product implies, they are open source…so there will be an app store with a robust developer community for third party apps.
